Florence Fellows is a retired seventy-year-old transplant from New
Jersey.
In the past four years my husband and I have traveled the
US extensively in our RV. In 2004 while in New Hampshire I
fractured my ankle. Being laid up with excessive time on my hands
I found a box of pastels and sketchpad.
I decided to try a
painting of a friend's barn. To my amazement the drawing looked
just like the photo. I then continued and did four more pictures
before starting work on the note cards. As I have had no training
in art it has to be an apparent divine intervention that allows me to do
this. There has not been any picture too difficult, though when I
start I often think, no way. Currently there are plans to expand
the line of cards with more artwork.
